About Us

John Petrowsky and Christian Jones rely on the synergy of their individual strengths and experiences to meet the needs of their clients. They also team with an executive assistant and other efficient staff in the Hammond Real Estate office to ensure immediate and personable service for all of their clients, regardless of price point.

In 2007 John and Christian were recognized as Top-10 Team Producers for the national GMAC network. They have also been featured in national and local media, including segments on "This Old House" on PBS and in the New York Times and many times in the Boston Globe, and numerous regional print and broadcast media outlets.

No other team or individual sells more property in the Cambridge area.

John Petrowsky

John has been an award-winning Realtor since 1986. He has an intimate knowledge of decorative styles and architecture, and this knowledge gives him special insight into ways of promoting the Cambridge area's architecturally interesting properties. Boston Magazine selected him as one of the Power Brokers of the metropolitan region in 2004. His colleagues named him Realtor of the Year in 1994; and Hammond Real Estate recognized the caliber of his service to the firm's clients by naming him Vice President in 1992. For most of the past ten years, he has been the company's Top Producer among a field of over 450 agents.

John holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in English Literature from Indiana University and a B.A. in English and History from Brandeis University. He's been a member of the local community for more than 50 years, and he is involved with many philanthropic organizations.

Christian Jones

Christian draws on over 20 years of sales and marketing experience. During his first three years as a real estate agent, he participated in 60 transactions with a total sales value of approximately $60,000,000. He carefully guides his seller and buyer clients by calling on his strong understanding of construction, renovation, and real estate development. At the same time, he concentrates on key technical areas, such as energy efficiency and green construction. He gained an early understanding of individualized, custom service when he ran a small, high-end manufacturing company that he founded as a senior in college. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Christian has lived in and around Boston since 1993.

To help manage the volume of their business, John and Christian employ a full-time executive assistant, Cassandra Petersen. She obtained a B.S. in History, and she has several years of executive administrative real estate experience. Her intelligence and efficiency enable her, John and Christian to serve their clients' needs.

All three pride themselves on their friendliness, helpfulness, and problem-solving skills.
